I am interested in the diffusion of innovation and knowledge, and the mechanisms that underlie this process. I examine the causes and consequences of entrepreneurial action either by organizations that undertake knowledge investments (strategic renewal), or by individuals working for them (spin-out formation). Taken together, my work focuses on the effect of innovation and entrepreneurship on the evolution of individual careers, firms and industries.
